The series misses Gore Verbinski's dark wit and humor. The plot feels utterly disjointed and the character of Jack Sparrow seems completely changed with Rob Marshall's tepid direction.
Rated PG-13 for intense sequences of action/adventure violence, some frightening images, sensuality and innuendo.
