The Utah Film Critics Association gathered together on Saturday, January 6, 2024 to deliberate and vote on excellence in filmmaking for 2023. The awards were widely distributed this year with Past Lives taking three including Best Picture as well as two for Celine Song for both Best Achievement in Directing and Best Original Screenplay.

Poor Things also received three wins, two for Emma Stone in Best Overall Performance and Leading Performance, Female, and Best Cinematography for Robbie Ryan.

The performances in The Holdovers were popular with Dominic Sessa and Da’Vine Joy Randolph winning in both Best Supporting Actor categories, while Andrew Scott in All of Us Strangers and the cast of The Iron Claw rounded out acting with Best Lead Performance, Male and Best Ensemble Cast, respectively.

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse was recognized for Best Animated Feature and Best Editing, and Godzilla Minus One received Best Visual Effects and came in runner-up for Best Non-English Language Feature
