Although this trailer has been out for a while, I wanted to give a shout-out to this new Fox Searchlight film that is already open in select cities and will open in Salt Lake City on Oct. 29.
Starring Hilary Swank (Boys Don’t Cry) and Sam Rockwell (Iron Man 2), Conviction tells the true story about a guy who claims he was falsely sentenced to prison for a murder he didn’t commit and his sister who is willing to do whatever it takes to prove his innocence – including getting her G.E.D., graduating college and passing the B.A.R. exam in order to represent him in court.
Last month I had the opportunity to see the film and speak with the real sister that Hilary Swank plays in Conviction – Betty Anne Waters. You can expect to hear a lot about it with Oscar season on its way.
